Hot Chi is hiring for leadership at all levels, Shift leads and Assistant Managers! Shift leaders are tasked with leading team members & directing daily operations in collaboration with the general manager. Assistant Managers support the team and shift leads and act as a liaison between the staff and the general manager.
As Leadership, your responsibilities fall into 4 broad categories:
- Supporting, training & supervising team members during a given shift.
- Opening & closing according to restaurant procedures.
- Living out the Hot Chi “WHY” by captaining the delivery of a memorable customer experience.
- Assisting in upholding restaurant cleanliness & neatness, and thorough preparation for the next team.
Specific Shift Lead responsibilities:
Being the hawk of the restaurant: “Vibe checker” - music, cleanliness, tidiness - embracing the guest experience. This can only be done by not getting fully immersed in any specific role.
Addressing customer issues, complaints, getting answers to team member questions
Accounting for the intake of cash deposits/cash handling
Leading & Delegating sidework projects
Coaching existing + Training new team members
Performing thorough walk throughs to confirm lists are complete & cleanliness standards are being met
Inventory reporting at the end of each shift
Being an accountability partner to all team members
Filling in for unexpected employee absences
Supporting kitchen staff as needed as a kitchen flex
Specific Assistant Manager responsibilities:
All listed above
Generating the weekly schedule
Placing weekly inventory orders
Catering order management
Maintaining restaurant and organization standards on a shift by shift basis
Supervise, lead & hold shift teams accountable on a shift by shift basis.
Complete daily restaurant inventory reports
Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations. Filters communication to the shift team as directed by the store manager.
Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Hot Chi. Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep store operating to standard and sets a positive example for the shift team.
Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
Engages in conversation with customers to understand customer needs and the needs of the community in which the store is located.
